I never heard anyone saying how hard it is to pick out baby stuff – but then again I wasn’t really listening either.

Many decisions to be made for baby’s room. I “only” have 7 months to get the Jozi room done inbetween everything else that is going on.

  • Do we go with a wooden cot or camping cot? Wood can be resold as it will last forever – but will be a static bed. Do we do wood at the Jozi home and a camping cot in Ballito?
  • Picking a colour for the 3 walls in the baby room. We settled on Peppermint Beach 5.

  • Decor I would love to have in shades of mint, chocolate and white.

Luckily the room is our old main room so it has the best view of a river and trees, a full bathroom – and a door to keep my cats out.

Now we also have to think of baby products like shampoos and oils – and what should and shouldn’t be in them.

…and then how do you choose between all the natural product ranges? Have you ever used any – and what is your experience using natural products?

What people also don’t realise is that yes I am getting a kid and the surrogate has to go through everything – but, I am missing out on everything. It really hurts.

  1. Good luck with all the decorating! I think most of all though, your baby will appreciate you, not the stuff. Enjoy counting down the months and congratulations on this happy event.
I get that you are missing out on a lot and that hurts (hugs)
