I finally went for a high tea – and it was awesome.

We picked the Champagne Afternoon package at The Maslow Hotel in Sandton. The High Tea started with a glass of Graham Beck Sparkling Wine and a savoury platter. This was followed by tea and a sweet platter. The treats covered quite a range of tastes and it was quite nice. You also had a choice of teas – from fruity berries to trusted Rooibos.

The only thing I didn’t like was that most of the pastries was in the same crust. The fillings of the pastries, the service and the setting was great.

I enjoyed the afternoon with BFF Ketna over a glass of champagne, but I’m not really a sit still and keep your hooliganism to yourself kind of person.
