Isn’t it time we all get back into a salon? I finally did! I’m glad I had the courage to go, because I really needed it.
It wasn’t until I walked into Placecol at Kyalami Corner that I realized just how much I’ve missed the life before. The one where you didn’t give a second thought about booking a facial. And I cannot describe just how much I’ve missed the smell of beauty products, ambient music you just get at spas and beauty salons, or the feeling of being spoilt with someone expertly taking care of your face.
I have the vaccination and I’ve had Covid but I also know that beauty professionals carry the same hygiene routine as you would find in a doctor’s office. I felt confident enough to lie there with eyes closed and to just enjoy a facial.
Afterwards my skin felt as if it was bursting with hydration – something it needed after 2 months of home renovations, moving and exams for my degree. I had let my beauty care slide since all of this started.
What I love about Placecol is that they know skin. They have product and treatment lines for concerns that real people have. There are no frills, they just have products that work and they can help to identify the products you really need during a consultation.
Keep an eye on their social media pages, because they always have a promotion or initiative that makes an hour at one of their salons even more affordable. You can also visit their treatments page here.
*My facial was sponsored, but my opinion and courage was my own.
