A love story and a chapel #INSTAX

Sometimes beautiful things come from a love story and then it is there for ordinary people like us.

Memories Chapel is situated on the Memories Corner property in Midrand, corner Whisken & New Road. It is a small chapel with a big story.

The couple who owns the property loves everything antique and has an antiques shop too. They decided to build the chapel and bought reclaimed wood for the exterior, found church pews, a pulpit and more beautiful treasures that may have ended up on a landfill.

The chapel can be hired for small weddings and baptisms.

At Memories Corner the chapel isn’t the only attraction…

This is the antiques shop. It is filled to the roof with treasures for you to find!

You can find from a restaurant, coffee shop and a photography studio here.

… and there is even a costume hire and ballet shop. Just talk to the owner and find out where she danced internationally!

Victoria’s Secret opening 14 November 2014 in Sandton & other good news

I’m sorry to be so “sporadic in posting”, but my life really is a bit messed up.

Here is some of my favourite finds the last few weeks:

  • Forever New discount outlet now open at Woodmead Value Mart in Johannesburg. You can also find it at WorldWear in Fairlands, Johannesburg.
  • Victoria’s Secret in Sandton is opening 14 November 2014! That is only a few days away.
  • The Macaroons at Breadbasket = awesomely delicious.
  • Aldo (discount outlet) has also moved to a new shop location at Woodmead Value Mart – and I’m just telling you this because they have enough shoes that we won’t have to fight about it.
  • Memories Chapel in Midrand. They offer the sweetest little chapel for small weddings of up to 12 people and it is set in a quaint little “dorpie”. You can find them here: www.memorieschapel.co.za.
