One month down, 11 to go of the first year in a new decade. 2020 promises to be a good year for self-expression with Pandora…

I love checking out what is new at Pandora and in 2020 they have not disappointed. The year kicked off with #SomethingAboutYou. Play with the pieces that reflect who you are and what you stand for.

Storytelling

A flawless fusion of heritage and modernity, our ultra-modern Purely Pandora designs profile perfect proportions and an elegant play on minimalism. Bringing with them a sense of harmony and timeless wonder, symmetrical formations of polished metallic spheres on rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and charms create  a storytelling style for 2020 and beyond.

Charms also available for your reflexions bracelets 🙂

On 13 February we celebrate Galentine’s Day and for this day Pandora has a symbolic range that celebrates the commitment to every type of love, inspired by tbest friend necklaces that split for sharing. This range features hand drawn hearts that are asymmetrical. These charms all represent an imperfect love that’s real.

Celebrate the perfect imperfections of your love with Pandora this #PandoraValentines

Whether you want to make a subtle move with a pair of classic heart shaped earrings or go full on roses and rings, we’ve got the pieces to make this Valentine’s Day memorable. Hearts, cubic zirconia and gleaming metals make for a romantic combination and there’s nothing like showing your affection with jewellery.

Romantic gifts don’t have to spell boring. “Hearts are an essential part of Pandora’s DNA and a visual element we’ve always loved to use,” note our VP Creative Directors, Francesco Terzo and A. Filippo Ficarelli. Showing that love has many forms and isn’t always flawless, our new freehand heart designs are perfectly imperfect. An understated piece that speaks volumes about how you feel, make her swoon and gift her a pendant this Valentine’s Day; it’s as romantic as it looks.

Channel the true romance of classic hearts and put the sparkle in your future together with clip-on charms for Pandora Reflexions bracelets. Shaped as romantic hearts, they’re available in cool sterling silver or blush-pink Pandora Rose, polished on one side and set with stones or embossed with our logo on the other. She can look at it and think of you. From everyday signatures to date-nightworthy styles, we’ve got you — and her – covered.

You know that after all these years you still doodle hearts, now challenge yourself and create hearts with objects from your home. First heart in my own challenge is made from face pearls by Avon and my second heart from Revlon products.

PS. now you can follow one of two Instagram accounts – get your travel dreams on or get your beauty on.

Nothing is more romantic than celebrating a commercially driven celebration of love – right? I will check my cynicism in for some therapy just now. If you aren’t planning to do the dinner date at a restaurant, here are a few romantic Valentine’s Day ideas:

  1. Spa date (home or at a fancy smancy spa)
Since hubby is already took me a the spa in January, I think he can wait a bit longer to go for another spa day. If you don’t have the funds to go to a romantic spa, create your own spa night at home. You can get some really awesome products from Clicks and Dischem that won’t cost an arm or leg.
  2. Romantic picnic at home or in a park (if you are at the beach, even better)
I love having picnics at home on the balcony overlooking Kyalami, under the stars. This is perfect for me. No mess, no fuss.
  3. Recreate your first date
This is soooo romantic, but in my case it would have to be me getting Woolworths. I had to put eyedrops in my cat’s eye every 2 hours or so and well, he had to come to my home for dinner and sneezed due to allergies.
  4. Romantic ice cream tasting date night (great for all the heatwaves we are subjected to)
We love ice cream so this would be perfect. It would be even better to sit on the balcony looking at the city lights while dining on gourmet ice creams.
  5. Movie night at home or the cinema
Movies, popcorn, peace and quiet… yay! This I do regularly so, skip.
