I have had many late nights these last few days. Friday I was at the Maybelline birthday party in Sandton. Then wizzed through to Polokwane to visit my sick grannie, stayed with my sister and her very lively kids and was sick as a dog last night. All in 1 weekend, all done.

I bought my first Maybelline product in 1997 – a rosy pink lipstick for my matric farewell. It was a beautiful shade with a slight shimmer. I even had to fight my sister of to stay in possession of the Maybelline lipstick.

So when I got to attend the #Maybelline100 Party with my bestie Miss Ketna, we did in in style. I brought out my LBD from French Connection that I bought for an occasion but was way too sick to attend. To top it off, just as I had finished my face Eskom decided to loadshed. Lucky I was holding my GOSH lipgloss that has a little light in to find my cellphone and then to find the emergency light.

The party was awesome, maybe because it was held at the San Bar in Sandton – and maybe because of the free Maybelline products. All I know is that it was just fabulous.

Maybelline had models made up in the different eras – and I absolutely loved the 20s look. If you wanted to you could sit for a make-up session, drink cocktails, wine and sit around the fire.

I haven’t yet tried my Maybelline goodies, but this weekend it’s me and make-up. If anyone phones they can leave a message.
