There are so many accessories and styles available that I find it quite daunting to choose the perfect items that I would wear more than once. I’m not a fan of statement necklaces, but I have bought a few over the years and they are the perfect example of what isn’t my taste. I like plain silver (or gold) chains with a pendant and wear 3 at a time. I like each to have a meaning.
I have decided to venture out of my comfort zone again to see if I can find something from online accessory stores that I could wear to very important meetings.
Shop 1: ZURI
I found this striking turquoise bead necklace (R190) and just fell in love with it. I love the texture and colour. I even think that I would wear it more than once.
Shop 2: SPREE
I found this little black number for R89 on Spree and think it is not too shabby at all. I’m not too fond of the rope, but I can live with it.
This Floral Statement Necklace Navy for R107 (on sale) is gorgeous, but will I wear it more than once?
Shop 3: HELLO PRETTY
I hit the jackpot on Hello Pretty. If I had to buy all the necklaces I liked I would be broke. First up is the Estelle Necklace for R185… and it took my breath away. White beads that remind me of the sea and dreamy days on the beach. Love it, love it, love it. It would be perfect for my cupboard at the beach house.
Next up is this wooden seed bead necklace for R320. This, for me, is timeless. I can see myself wearing this with a lot of what is in my cupboard.

After this post I realised that my actual gripe with many accessory shops is the “made in China” label. I dislike “made in China” immensely. I am not a cookie cutter person and do not buy cookie cutter either.
